This Is Why Friendship With Everybody Is Enmity To Yourself

 Once upon a time, a story was told to me about a young town boy who later became a village creep. He was the popular guy that thinks everybody loves him until he found himself in the police wanted list. He creeped around like a lost puppy, was afraid of where the siren is coming from, till his death.

Of course, trying to please everyone might make them see you as the saint but it could be very dangerous to you. Trust me when I say, "You don't have to be a saint, just be average."

No matter how friendly or graceful you may try to be, people will always try to use and abuse you.

I was inspired to write this post after hearing the story of the boy I mentioned earlier, his popular nickname is "Trendie Amigo." He was played, used and betrayed, just because he wants to please everyone. It was a long story but I will give you a tip of the eyeball of the story.

He was born and brought up in a lovely and careful family. He wasn't in trend neither a rich spoil jerk. He was gentle and peaceful until he started feeling not connected and joined some company of friends or pranksters (as I called them). So, on his quest to please his new friends, he was double-crossed, played and betrayed. 

So that's that, He was in police wanted list till his death. Such a painful story, that's why I can't share the full story, sorry about that.

Based on Trendie Amigo's story, I gathered up a few lessons, I will share some with you in this post.

Everybody is not happy about you:

The first lesson is to understand that everyone is not happy about you; whether you are progressing or not, it doesn't matter, some people just don't like you. You have to be careful with who you associate yourself with and how you handle some people.

Although some people do love and cherish you but there are those who don't, they just put on the act to deceive you. You have to be smart enough to figure them out and stay away from them. 

People are generally selfish:

Most people wants to use you and toss you away. All they want is for you to serve them, they can pet you when they want something from you. They play a good Samaritan in front of everyone to keep their pride above yours but the truth is they don't care about you at all. 

It's painful to acknowledge that Trendie Amigo was in the police wanted list for what he never did but no one can vouch for him. Everyone becomes selfish when you needed them the most.

No one wants you to rise above them:

This is commonly found among peers, you can't rise above them. They becomes the enemy of your progress, they try to limit your self-beliefs. 

I was talking to someone about how I must become a success to this generation and I was positive about it but guess what the person said to me, "Did you think you are the only one who wants to succeed in life, forget it, play the league you are familiar with." 

That Statement pained me so bad but I only smiled because prolonging the matter will make him to hate me. It is a fact that I'm not the only one who wants to succeed but I don't think it's wise for me to forget about my dream and continue playing the league I'm familiar with. 

Now, you see my point, you become an enemy to people once you are friend with yourself. 

People are jealous and envious of you:

People becomes real jealous and envy of you when they see the potential in you. Look at the lives of those successful people you know about, they suffer criticisms that might get their focus deviated from their goals. Those who give in to criticisms crashes down like a rock that is broken into tiny pieces. The jealousy of people can make them do the undoable. 

Have you heard of Vincent Dan Gogh, the renowned Dutch painter. Despite his incredible talent and unique artistic vision, van Gogh struggled with mental health issues and faced harsh criticism from art critics and society during his lifetime. His paintings were often misunderstood and unappreciated during his lifetime, and he only sold a few works.

But guess what, today he is celebrated as one of the most influential artists in history, with his paintings fetching millions of dollars at auctions and displayed in prestigious museums worldwide.

Some people wants you to remain with them in the pit:

This is a serious case, some people possess some form of negativity within themselves and they wants you to suffer it with them.

Like the guy mentioned earlier that told me to remain in the league I'm familiar with. Possibly he said that because he have decided to remain in the league as well, so he's looking for some partnership with me, Touche. 

Some people just don't see a way forward, what they see is the backdoor; how to quit as soon as they start, how to stop working hard, things like that. I tell you for sure, these kind of people don't dream about a bright future, their best days are far spent. It's a fact we can't ignore, staying close to people like that can only limit us. It is said that

Bad company corrupts good manners

So be careful not to allow anyone drag you down because they have already decided to remain down.

In conclusion, be smart to stay away from people who wants your downfall, don't let anyone drag you down the mud, don't be the saint in front of everybody, form a lasting and fruitful friendship with yourself first. You are unstoppable dear friend, shine on.
